Luna's Dream Christmas List

It's the most wonderful time of the yeeeear! Ding-dong, ding-dong...let the 3 for 2 from boots-gift-giving-commence!

However may I present you the dream list. Number one is a utterly scrumpicous Ted Baker Woodland Print dress - I'd team this with some vintage chelsea boots, a huge fedora and my trusty fur jacket, but it would equally make an excellent impress-the-future-in-laws outfit a la Kate Middleton style.

Next is a classic leather skirt from Oasis, I'm in my mid 20's now and I really need to start investing in staple pieces and leather is a real good place to start.

The Black fringe bag from Primark, simply because you cannot possibly have too many Black Fringe bags from Primark

The Topshop feather capelet  because let's face it one must goth it up every now and again. Plus this item could make even the drabbest of dresses uber cool.

Once again Ted Baker  Ted Baker Full Skirt Dress   makes an appearance in my wish list who they have upped their game this season! Such a nod to the sixties (the best decade for fashion that ever was - don't argue because I'm right). So well structured, prefect for the office, and the skater style skirt is flattering on all.

Finally the Pink Boucle Dress from Primark. I know what your thinking it's dress is very very Lark, but I love it. It's so JackieO meets Jean Shrimpton. When I look at it I think beehives, winged eyeliner, and ridiculously long falsies. This dress will be mine, I repeat will be...MINE.

From Catwalk to Sidewalk

Homage to Ashish AW12

If you have never heard of  the designer Ashish, I feel sorry for you! Seriously he is a genius, and I mean that in a non 'sweety darling fashion pack way'. The eccentric mix of denim, sequins, eastern, bollywood or as Ashish called his last collection 'Bollywouldnt'. It should not work, this mish mash of cultural  influences, but it does 'work', on an epic scale.

Ashish Gupta debuted triumphantly at LFW  in 2004 and won the New Generation award, no less than three times. Hailing from Delhi, he studied Fine Art in India, relocating to Middlesex to do a BA in fashion design, and then to Central St Martin's to study for an MA.

As we know catwalk looks are not always easy to translate into real life. Luna and I have attempted to honour Ashish in our own very different ways. Luna has shown how to rock  the edgy elements of Ashish, and Lark has taken the uptown route taking only the Sequin element, for a totally different look. We adore his work. Love and light Lark
